Amazon Prime Class Action Settlement – up to $51 in compensation

If you have ever felt “tricked” into an Amazon Prime membership or found it nearly impossible to cancel, you might be in line for a payday. Amazon has reached a historic $2.5 billion settlement with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) over allegations that it misled millions of consumers into enrolling in Prime and then purposely made the cancellation process a nightmare.

This massive settlement fund is dedicated to reimbursing U.S. consumers who were charged for memberships they didn’t intend to have or couldn’t get rid of. While some users already received automatic refunds in late 2025, a new claims window is now open for those who were missed.

Eligible claimants can receive up to $51 in compensation for their membership fees.

Do You Qualify for a Payment?

There are two ways to get paid from this settlement. You might qualify for an Automatic Payment if you signed up between June 2019 and June 2025 and used three or fewer benefits in a year.

However, many others will need to go through the Claims Process. You are likely eligible to file a claim if:

  • You signed up for Prime between June 23, 2019, and June 23, 2025.
  • You unintentionally enrolled through a “challenged enrollment flow” (sneaky pop-ups or confusing checkout buttons).
  • You tried to cancel online during that same timeframe but were unable to finish the process.
  • You used fewer than ten Prime benefits (like free shipping or Prime Video) during any 12-month period of your membership.

How to get the Amazon Prime settlement money?

If you didn’t receive an automatic refund in late 2025, you must take action to get your cash. To file your claim and secure your share of the $2.5 billion fund, follow these steps:

  • Visit the Settlement Site: Head over to the official Amazon Prime Settlement Website to access the online claim form.
  • Fill Out the Form: Provide the requested information to verify your account and enrollment history.
  • Submit by the Deadline: You must submit your claim online by 11:59 p.m. CT on July 27, 2026.
  • Wait for Payment: Once claims are reviewed and approved, payments are expected to be sent out in late 2026 via PayPal or your bank account.

Remember to only submit honest claims. With over $2.5 billion on the table, this is one of the largest consumer protection wins in history, so make sure you claim what you’re owed before the July deadline!
